SONGS

To classify our style is difficult for us. Base Eklectix does lean towards electronica because that is the medium in which we mainly use, but beyond that we have a hard time classifying ourselves. As long as it has thick landscapes or feelings we will attempt it. Some of the styles we have found to be the most expressive to for us are, ambient, chill, fusion, jazz, and drum n bass.

Outside of our score work Base Eklectix attempts to continue to use digital music creation as an artistic outlet. Since we knew that we would never be a conventional 'band' it left us with trying to make each song what we hear in our mind. This may limit our ability in some ways because of the lack of a 'jam session', but we believe the benefits are just as great.

Within these little pilgrimages of tonal art we have had different phases. We satrted counting form the time we calle dour work 'Matter of Preception', and have since reevaluated our music, had a minor growth spurt and then entered 'Introspection'. Within each of these is a new way of thinking about our compositions and how it reflects who we are. We can feel another stage coming on soon and we have no idea where it will take us.

Below is a selection of our tonal art. We will get more uploaded soon, so check back every so often. To listen to samples of our scores click here.
